“A Place Called ‘Home’”
[Written in 1989 – A fine Gospel piece. Lovingly dedicated to all the Homeless and/or Hopeless people around the world. Recording proceeds to go for the benefit of the Homeless.]
There’s a place called home (Place called home)
For all who now must go without (Go without it, now)
And in that home (In that home)
Are found the dreams that once were lost (Yeah, we found’ em)
And that home (And that home)
Has a river running by it
All those... Alone (In that home)
Will find the love they were not given
Yeah... In that home
There’s a place called home (Place called home)
For all the poor around the world (‘Round the world, now)
And in that home (In that home)
Grows all they need to feed their hunger (Oh, such hunger...)
And that home (And that home)
Will serve as shelter for their children
All those... Who roam (In that home)
Will find the rest they had been seeking
Yeah... In that home
There’s a place called home (Place called home)
Where your skin color doesn’t matter (It don’t matter none)
And in that home (Yeah, in that home)
Shine all the shades of recognition (Go on shinin’)
In that home (In that home)
Dance all the hues God has created
All those... Who moan (In that home)
Will find the peace this world’s been missin’
Yeah... In that home
There’s a place called home (Come on home)
So wipe your tears and come and join us (Come on in, now)
Dare to love (Live to love)
And learn to give and not to count (Go on givin’)
All alone (Yeah, by yourself)
You can start to make a diff’rence
And if... You try (Bless you child)
You just may show others the way
Yeah... To that home
